UMUAHIA—THE Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State for his interest and intensive awareness campaign and promotion for Made- in-Aba products, saying that he is reviving the pride and uniqueness of Aba.
MASSOB also lauded Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State for banning foreign rice in the state to encourage the patronage of Abakiliki rice.

MASSOB said though some businessmen, who imported those goods would not be comfortable with their actions, it commended the two governors for their actions, saying “the general interest, welfare and good health of our people is more acknowledged than fortune of few business men.”
In statement by its leader, Uchenna Madu, MASSOB said Ikpeazu had kept his May 29, 2015 inauguration promise of promoting and patronizing made-in-Aba products.
“Through our investigation, MASSOB found out that Ikpeazu has not eaten his words. He has massively promoted and patronized Aba-made products even to national level. To be candid, the governor’s passion for ethnic fashion and everything Igbo, has naturally rekindled interest in local brands.”
