ABAKALIKI – WORRIED about the present hardship facing Nigerians and the dwindling economic fortunes of the country, a Chieftain of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Comrade Jerry Obasi Thursday described the Buhari APC-led Federal government as a colossal failure.

In a chat with Vanguard, Obasi who explained that while it took the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP 16 years to destroy the socio-economic strength of Nigeria, the All Progressive Congress, APC took only less than one year to destroy the remaining institutional values and foreign policies of the nation.

The Deputy National Secretary of APGA stated that one of the reasons the Buhari-led government failed Nigerians was because of its pursuit for ethnic, religious and tribal sentiments, instead of focusing on key issues affecting the growth and development of the nation.

He further called for the sack of the Ministers of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun and Housing, Works and Power, considering the abysmal impact they have made in trying to move the country forward.

The former Ebonyi State Chairman of APGA explained that the Power sector was presently performing below expectations compared to the period of former President Jonathan’s administration.

“APC accepted their failures late. Buhari has failed Nigerians including myself. Instead of him pursuing national growth he was busy pursuing ethnic, religious and tribal benefits. To say the truth, it took PDP 16 years to destroy Nigeria but the sad end of it, is that it took APC less than one year to destroy nigeria. It is a colossal failure.

“The Minister of Finance and the Minister of Works, housing and Power should be sacked by the President with immediate effect. The Nigerian polity is too big for the Minister of Finance to handle. Even though she is close to the powers that be. She should be fired by the President.”.
