Unilever Nigeria Plc, producers of Lipton Yellow label has said that it’s bonding with Muslim consumers in the spirit of the Ramadan fast.

According to the brand its kind gesture to consumers is in line with the preaching of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).

The Admin Principal, Markaz Arabic and Islamic Training Centre, Agege, Alhaji. Abdulwahid Ariyibi said, with the coming of Lipton to the school it means the brand is helping in increasing the knowledge of the Muslim religion and the importance of Ramadan.

Ariyibi said: “It is a month of doing good to people, love and sharing. Lipton has taken a good decision it is a good idea for Unilever to reach out to Muslims in this fasting period. It’s a good step in the right direction. He stated.

On the  Love of sharing and giving, Ariyibi said Ramadan love has no bounds to the country or religion, but that religion is a boundless tie that bounds everyone, which is manifested in the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking, the Category Manager Tea and Spreads, Vivian Ihaza, Unilever Nigeria,  said, the Ramadan period is a very important one for Muslim Lipton consumers across Nigeria.

“It’s not only a time of reflection and prayers but also a time to reach out to someone in need. It is a fundamental human truth that we all have good intentions and thoughts that are related to social goodness but most times, our busy lives get in the way of turning these thoughts into actions,” she said.

She added that the Lipton mobile Ramadan lounge will also be stationed at select mosques across Nigeria to provide refreshment after IFTAR prayers to Muslim faithful.
