The Head of Resource Group of the Chris Ogiemwonyi Campaign Organisation, Mr. Abubakar Yesufu has cautioned party delegates that the emergence of Godwin Obaseki or Pius Odubu could plunge the party into crisis.

While urging the delegates to endorse Ogiemwonyi, he also charged them not to mortgage their future through selling their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to those determined to stop the emergence of the best candidate.

Briefing newsmen yesterday in Lagos, the former president of the Student Union University of Benin, noted that Ogiemwonyi possesses courage, integrity, profound credentials and is not aligned to any of the forces that are trying to tear the party apart.

His words: ‘’ A victory for either Obaseki or Odubu would further widen the chasm and throw the party into an avoidable conflict that would be difficult to manage before September polls.

‘’Odubu’s 16 years in government and Obaseki’s seven years as Head of the Economic team show they have both reached their zenith in government. Thus, having reached their political and ideological menopause, there is nothing they are bringing to Osadebey Avenue. Only Chris Ogiemwonyi is the tested and trusted technocrat with the will and daring courage to succeed Comrade Oshiomhole.
