Ahead of the 2016 governorship election in Edo State, leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ovia Southwest Local Government Area of of the state, have endorsed the candidacy of Earl Osaro Onaiwu, as their gubernatorial aspirant.

Onaiwu a former Special Adviser on Political and Public Affairs to late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu and the current Director General of PDP Governors’ forum is a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the PDP.

The event which took place at the party secretariat, had all leaders in attendance.

The leaders who took turns to speak described Onaiwu as the best man for the job having served in different capacities as the Director General, Nigeria Governor’s Forum and presently Director General, PDP Governors’ forum.

Expressing confidence on Onaiwu, the Chairman, Felix Onaiwu described him as a man with experience who had proven himself to be the solution for a better Edo state.

“You have our support. We will stand by you till the primaries”, he said.

However, addressing the party leaders and other members present, Onaiwu expressed his gratitude and thanked them for their support.‎
