ABA—Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has called on the Kano State governor,    Abdullahi Ganduje to compensate Igbo traders who were victims of the recent fire incident which gutted the Sabon Gari market in the state.

It will be recalled that over 4,000 shops were  on Saturday, razed in a  midnight  fire at Sabon Gari Market, Kano.

MASSOB’s National Director of Information, Sunny Okereafor, in a statement made available to  Vanguard, lamented that Igbo traders have always been at the receiving end of market demolition and fire incidents in Nigeria and urged the Kano State government to ensure that the victims are compensated to mitigate their losses.

The MASSOB spokesman urged Igbo businessmen to invest at home, stressing that if the Igbo could establish 30 per cent of their businesses in their home states, the South East would be more developed than Abuja and Lagos cities.
