Nnewi—More than five hundred aggrieved members of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from Anambra East Council Area, kinsmen of Governor Willie Obiano, of Anambra State, have dumped their respective parties to join Equity Forum, EF, a political pressure group that agitates for equity, fairness, and good governance, formed by a former PDP Chairman and member, House of Representatives Prince Tony Nwoye.

Addressing newsmen yesterday at Umueri Recreation Club and Events Center, EF, Chairman for Anambra East, Mr. Thompson Chikezie, said the group was formed and inaugurated in Anambra State in August 2015 by Prince Nwoye, who is the sole financier, with the State Chairman being a former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Ossy Ezenwa, and the Secretary, a former Onitsha South L.G.A Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike.
He said that they are yet to decide the political party they will join to wrestle power from the hand of the ruling APGA government of Chief Obiano, but maintained that they will not go back to APGA and PDP respectively.
