In line with celebrating International Women’s Day coming Tuesday, the President of West African Women Association (WAWA), Dr. Beatrice Ubeku, has called on the federal government to celebrate women who have done well.
Speaking in Lagos, Ubeku explained that WAMA and the World Economic Power Chamber of Commerce (WEPCCOM) would tackle gender imbalance in the country in line with celebrating women in Africa.
“The Nigeria government should support the celebration of women who have done very well. And that is what we at WAWA and WEPCCOM want to do on March 8 in Abuja. We want to celebrate women in Africa. We are going to showcase our women,” she said.
