Odion Ighalo and Dele Alli are on the shortlist for the Player of the Month of December in the English Premier League.

Nigeria international Ighalo has netted 13 goals for Watford in the EPL, while Nigerian-born Alli has netted five for Spurs from midfield.

Both players are making their debut in the English top flight.

Alli’s smooth transition to the big league has been rewarded with a new contract by Spurs.

This season, Ighalo has twice won the best African player in the EPL under the auspices of New African Soccer.
Mezut Ozil (Arsenal), Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City), Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City) are the other nominees for December 2015.
