Ughelli residents celebrate Omo-Agege’s A-Court victory

UGHELLI— COMMERCIAL activities were, Wednesday, grounded as hundreds of commercial motorcycle operators, market women and youths from different communities in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State came out in celebration of the Appeal Court ruling in favour of the Labour Party candidate in the Delta Central senatorial district, Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege.

There was a massive gridlock as the crowd carrying placards with various inscriptions, marched through major streets including the Ughelli township road.

Speaking on behalf of the crowd, Chief Onoriode Emurotu described the ruling as a victory for the Urhobo people.

According to him, “The judiciary has indeed proved that it is the hope of the last man and this has further reaffirm our hope on the Nigerian legal system.”
