Former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole
By Gabriel Enogholase
BENIN—AHEAD of the Edo State governorship election slated for 2016, a governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Party, APC, Mr. Calsey Omon-Irabor, has warned that the quest by the people of Edo Central senatorial zone to produce the next governor of the state would be a mirage without the support of leaders from the other two zones.
Omon-Irabor who expressed his support for the Esan agenda to produce the next governor in 2016, told journalists in Benin, that he had expected traditional rulers from the area and other leaders to hold meetings with leaders from Edo South and Edo North on why power should be transferred to the zone.
He insisted that the best way to go about the Esan agenda was to negotiate and lobby the two other zones as politics was a game of numbers.
