Lagos State House of Assembly, yesterday, confirmed Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s nominees for the state Judicial and Audit Service Commissions.
Those confirmed for the Judicial Service Commission are Mr. AbdulFatai Oluwole, Barrister Mojisola Shodipo, Mr. Adedayo Adekunle and Mr. Rotimi Seriki.
The newly-confirmed members of the State Audit Service Commission are Alhaji Waliu Onibon, Mr. Ositode Dosu, Mrs. Folake Onabolu, Mr. Adekunle Otushemade and Mr. Abiodun Aigbe.
The candidates for the Judicial Service Commission told the lawmakers, during screening, that they will ensure that the state judicial service was composed of well-trained personnel and that the commission was reformed in line with the current demands of the state.
Also, the nominees for the Lagos State Audit Service Commission assured the House that efforts would be made to block loopholes in the state treasury and ensure that the Treasury Single Accounts, TSA, policy works effectively.
The Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, subequently ordered the Clerk of the House, Mr. Segun Abiru, to inform Governor Ambode about the confirmation of the nominees for the two commissions.
