Lagos—A 23-year-old domestic house help, Tony Arikpo, was yesterday brought before a Tinubu Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing $4,000 from his boss.

The defendant, who resides at 173, Jakande Estate in Lekki area of Lagos, is facing a one-count charge of stealing preferred against him by the police.

The prosecutor, Inspector Francisca Okere, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in March. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Magistrate L. A. Owolabi admitted the defendant to a N100,000 bail with two responsible sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to August 31.
