ONICHA-UGBO—The traditional ruler of Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Obi Victor Chukwumalieze I, has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing their son, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC.

In a statement on behalf of the traditional ruler by the National Publicity Secretary of Onicha-Ugbo Patriotic Union, OPU, Mr. Emma Fejokwu, he described the appointment as well deserved.

Obi Chukwumalieze in a congratulatory message to Dr. Kachikwu, said that there was no doubt he will perform to the admiration of all.
The traditional ruler also commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the appointment of another illustrious son of the community, Prof. Sylvester Monye into the state executive council.

The monarch also enjoined the appointees to use their new positions to attract more dividends of democracy to the community.
