The U-23 national team has been tipped to do the country proud in its series of matches, beginning with the Olympic games qualifier against Congo, this Sunday in Port Harcourt.

This assurance was given by Prince Efemena Elutabe, the President of Lagos based non-league side, Freestan Sports club.

Speaking with the press after the friendly match between his team and the dream team in Port Harcourt which the Siasia led team won 3-1, he opined that the quality of the players in the national team and buoyed by the experience and astuteness of the Samson Siasia led technical crew would certainly make the team too hot to handle for any team.

“Without doubt, the U-23 team is very good. And I want to assure Nigerians that this team will do us proud at the All African Games and also qualify for the Olympic games”,Prince Elutabe assured.

“I have watched this team played severally, and the quality and potentials in this team is awesome”,he added.

He went ahead to enjoin every soccer fan to turn out enmasse to support the U-23 team against Congo, on Sunday.
