ABUJA-Election for the position of the Deputy Senate President is ongoing between the former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, PDP, Enugu East and Mohammed Ali Ndume, APC, Borno South.

Meanwhile some of the All Progressives Congress, Senators-elect that were holding a meeting at the International Conference Centre at the time of the nomination and voting for the office of the Senate President have hurriedly ruturned to the chamber and are participating in the election of the Deputy Senate President.
