ABIGBORODO—THE people of Abigborodo in Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State, country home of the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan,  have described the governor as a precious representative of his people who has left indelible marks on the sands of time.

Chairman of Abigborodo community, Mr. Monday Agbeyi, at the commissioning of the Sapele-Abigbordo-Aruowunm Road, said:  “You (Uduaghan) are a worthy ambassador of your people and we are happy that you did not betray the confidence reposed in you throughout the duration of your political voyage as Delta State number one citizen.

“Our dear governor, your monumental achievements in the areas of potable water supply, education, infrastructural development, health and security, among others, will for a long time, remain indelible in the minds of our people, and the history of Delta State.”

Speaking on the occasion, Uduaghan said: “It is not easy to develop the rural communities, especially, the riverine communities. I have done the best I can.”

He observed that constructing a link road to Abigborodo was a huge challenge because of the swampy terrain of the area.

“This road was virtually built on top of water. My people, the Abigborodo people, must appreciate that the effort it took to construct this road was enough to construct several kilometres of road in other places. I believe in the efficacy of prayers. Abigborodo people must continue to pray because the place has a potential of growth. Our community must grow, our community must develop,” he added.
