Nigeria star, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored for his Manchester City side as Chelsea claimed the FA Youth Cup for the fourth time in six years.

The Blues carried a 3-1 first-leg advantage into Monday evening’s Stamford Bridge meeting but saw their aggregate advantage halved early on as Kelechi Iheanacho put Manchester City ahead.

The visitors’ lead on the night lasted just 13 minutes as Izzy Brown’s header found the back of the net, before Tammy Abraham extended the aggregate lead to three goals in the opening minute of the second period with a precise finish.

Chelsea continued recent FA Youth Cup dominance by lifting the trophy for the second year in a row and the fourth time in six seasons. It is the second occasion the club has retained the crown after back-to-back successes in 1960 and 1961.

The handlers of the U-20 team will be happy as Manchester City have said they are willing to release the Nigeria starlet  for next month’s FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand if he came through a game without any concerns.
