The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has proposed a budget of N524 million naira, for the Super Falcons 2015 FIFA Women World Cup campaign in Canada later in the year.
According to the breakdown, the federation said it would spend N6.3m for return tickets for eight government officials, which includes a number of ministers, permanent secretaries, and members of the national assembly, while the sum of $68,000 would be paid as their estacode allowances for 20 nights.
Similarly, another sum of N440,000 would be paid as allowances to the 20 players who will make up the Super Falcons team, just as their officials and technical crew would receive the sum of $31,000 each day.
The document also earmarks the sum of $230,000 as players’ match bonuses, while the coaches and nine backroom staff attached to the team would be paid the sum of $174,000 as match bonus.
Also the sum of $98,000 will paid as estacode allowance to the NFF president, the general secretary, two board members, four secretariat staff who are expected to stay for 20 days each.
Furthermore, another sum of N46 million naira has been earmarked for medical consumables, local return tickets for players, production of pennants and pins, local camping, printing of tournament brochure, insurance, contingencies and administrative logistics and transitional accommodation.
In a related development, the NFF has revealed that it has a target of N857m expected revenue from its sponsorship deals in the 2015 season.
This is contained in the 2015 budget proposal which the football house submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval.
According to the document which was obtained by Sports Vanguard, the federation stated that while it expects the sum of N350m from Globacm, another sum of N70m and N290m from Malta Guinness and Guinness Nigeria limited respectively, it will also pick another N51m from Peak milk.
Other sources of income include; Tom Tom who will bring N40m, N35m from pharmaceutical giants, Emzor, while Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) is expected to pay in N10m and Sports radio Brilla fm another N1m.
