ENUGU—Enugu State government, yesterday, flagged off a three-day Education Quality Assurance Scheme, EQAS, workshop for primary and secondary school administrators to boost quality of learning in the state.
The workshop, supported by the Education Schools Support Programme in Nigeria, ESSPIN, seeks to promote, improved teaching and learning, needed guidance and support to challenge schools across the state.
Coordinator, EQAS, Enugu State, Mrs. Chinyere Agbo, said the scheme would imbue children with the necessa-ry learning to compete with their contemporaries globally to ensure a knowledge-based economy for the country.
She said: “The Inspectorate Scheme that we practised from the colonial era did not help our education system.”
