Foremost producer, Zeb Ejiro, may have started preparing his son, Melvin, to step into his shoes, having paid his dues as one of the pioneers of Nollywood. There are indications that the veteran film maker has concluded plans for Melvin to travel to the United States any time in July, for a two weeks course on film making at the University of California, UCLA.

The budding film maker will be travelling on the bill of President Goodluck Jonathan’s N3 billion grants to Nollywood for capacity building production and distribution. He is one of the 30 beneficiaries of the capacity building workshop abroad.

Other beneficiaries include President of Movie Producers Association, AMP, Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor, Fidelis Duker, and others. Narrating how he was selected for the trip, excited Melvin said, “The journey started in 2013, when President Goodluck Jonathan announced N3 billion grants to the industry. In 2014, all the guilds in Nollywood started applying and we did too. Later, we were approved to be part of the capacity building workshop which will be taking place from 5th of July, at the University of California.”
