Ericsson to drive operator’s digital experiences with new offerings

Ahead of the Mobile World Congress holding next week in Spain, Barcelona, world leader in communications technology and services, Ericsson in a committed effort to maintain lead position in driving force behind the Networked Society has presented seven new additions to its hardware, software and services solutions that would help its customers advance the digital experiences.

The launch of the new solutions which will be on show at the 2015 MWC according to Ericsson meet their customers’ need to drive profitable growth, optimize network performance and grow their business with new services and offerings.

Speaking last week in Lagos during the announcement of the new offerings, Kamar Abass, Managing Director of Ericsson Nigeria told Technology Journalists that how best companies could transform into becoming a true digital company is one of the hottest topics in the industry.

According to him, both enterprises and operators must adapt operations to meet their customers and business demands on digital experiences.

“For larger operators, big data and analytics are strategic topics. They are seeking to convert their investments in analytics tools into business results. Ericsson has both organically, and through acquisitions, built a leadership position in real time, big data analytics”he explained.

Digital telco transformation

He explained that digital Telco transformation is a new offering that combines consulting and systems integration services with the industry’s most comprehensive operational and business support systems (OSS/BSS) portfolio.

With optimism, he said that digital telco transformation would ease the transition for operators seeking a new operating model to monetize the digital information, entertainment, finance and health services that customers want.

Expert analytics 15.0

According to him, Ericsson expert Analytics 15.0 is a new software suite that allows operators to predict customer satisfaction and outomatically take closed-loop actions to improve it.

To stay competitive, he said that operators need to continuously evolve their networks to meet the ever-increasing demands on digital experiences, adding that it is not only from consumers, but also from businesses and industries. Performance is a key differentiator to improve user satisfaction.

Ericsson radio system

The generational shift with its new modular Radio System, according to him would redefine how mobile networks are built on every level.

Ericsson Radio System, he explained has a modular architecture that flexibly expands to the changing demands on the road to 5G with cutting-edge multi-standard, multi-band and multi-layer technology.

If deployed by operators, he assured that this would eliminate site acquisition issues, delivering three times the capacity density with 50 percent improvement in energy efficiency and reduces total cost of ownership by 20 percent.

Router 6000 Series

The company’s first router for backhaul and aggregation, which combines IP transport and radio. The Router 6000 series, according to him, meets the need for high-performance backhaul and precise synchronization required today and with evolution to LTE Advanced, 5G and M2M.

The solution he added addresses the end-to-end network security concerns and demand for higher operational efficiency.

Networks software 15B

This solutions, he explained offer increased performance and commercial simplicity for software delivery.

Networks Software 15B, he explained delivers many new capabilities in the areas of radio access, cloud & virtualization, as well as in the network management & control domain, promising to boost networks for maximum performance.

App experience optimization

App Experience Optimization, he explained is a new service that takes optimization to the next level by allowing operators to improve the end user app experience.
