The Eagles celebrating one of their goals in the 3-0 victory over Mosambique .

The Eagles this evening defeated the Mambas of Mozambique  in their final group match at the African Nations Cup in Angola.

Two  goals scored by Nigeria forward, Peter Odemwingie and a third by  Obafemi Martins sealed the Eagles qualifications into the quarter finals stage with a 3-0 scoreline.

The victory will be a soothing balm to most Nigerian football fans and officials who have threatened to sack coach Amodu Shaibu if he failed to put up a convincing performance against the Mambas.

With the victory, Nigeria will now join Egypt to advance to the quarter final of the tournament.
