LAGOS—Tree planting ceremony event took place to mark Bose Ransome-Kuti’s 70th birthday at Baptist Academy Obanikoro last month.

Mrs. Bose Ransome -Kuti, during the planting of 70 trees to mark her 70th birthday.

Mrs. Ransome-Kuti said the tree planting has social, economic and health benefits and is a key policy for a “Green Lagos.”

She was joined by friends and well wishers who sponsored a tree each.

The proceeds from the sales of the 70 trees went to four charity homes: Echoes of Mercy and Hope Foundation, Child Care Social Services, Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care & Treatment Home and Tunji Adebayo Foundation.

It was really a unique celebration.
