Gov Obiano’s LG, least developed in Anambra, says Reps candidate

By Vincent Ujumadu

Awka — The House of Representatives candidate for Anambra East and Anambra West Federal Constituency on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Peter Madubueze, has said that he was ashamed that his constitu- ency, which is also the federal constituency of Governor Willie Obiano, is the most backward in the state.

He said his ambition was to do everything possible to bring it at par with other parts of the state, if elected into the National Assembly.

Mdubueze, who spoke at Umueri in Anambra East local government area, lamented that before now, his people were not educated, but even now that a lot of them have acquired education and skills, they are still schemed out in job placements because those who represented them in the past have failed to do the necessary home work.

He identified the area as the state’s agricultural base, regretting that the flood disaster that hit the area two years ago affected the people adversely, as the money meant for their rehabilitation did not get to them.

He said that although flood is the major problem of the area, his people have never benefitted from the ecological fund from the Federal Government.
