ABEOKUTA—The Ogun State governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka yesterday said the February 28, election will determine the future of the state and urged the electorates to vote for the best candidate.
He also disclosed that unless the administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun is voted out of office, the state will soon face serious economic challenges because of the “reckless manner” it has managed the state’s resources especially the white elephant projects embarked upon.
Speaking with the members of Christians Association of Nigeria, Yewa/Awori zone in Ilaro, Ogun State, Isiaka, who disclosed that contrary to the lies being peddled by the government that none of the roads expanded costs more than N400m per kilometer, he said available records showed that Amosun has been paying nothing less than N1.4 billion per kilometre on all the expansions.
He said: “We were at the debate on Sunday in Abeokuta where we confronted him with the facts of how bogus the costs of his contracts have been.”
