The Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, yesterday, said it was overcoming the challenges posed by the introduction of Pre-Arrival Assessment Report, PAAR, to the maritime industry, saying the service raked N950.1 billion in November from programme.

The Controller, Apapa Area Command of NCS, Comptroller Charles Edike, said this at the 13th inauguration of a new executive council of Maritime Reporters’ Association of Nigeria, MARAN, in Lagos.

He said PAAR was a home-grown initiative introduced to reduce the bottlenecks of trade in Nigeria by the Comptroller-General of the NCS, Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko.

Those inaugurated were Ifeyinwa Obi, President; Funso Olojo, Vice President; John Obot, Secretary-General; Obiajulu Agu, Assistant Secretary-General; Gboyega Oni, Public Relations Officer/Internal Auditor; Aisha Cole, Financial Secretary and Oluwakemi Dauda as Treasurer.
