ABUJA—Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA,  has inaugurated a campaign support group chaired by Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji for the PPA candidate in the Anambra State governorship election, Mrs Uche Ekwunife

The membership of the group, which is drawn from among the national officers of the party,  serving National Assembly members, state and zonal chairmen of the party is meant to galvanize the formidable efforts already made by the nuclueus campaign body of the party’s governorship candidate in Anambra State.

According to a statement by PPA National Publicity Secretary, Mr Ben Onyechere, “the PPA campaign in Anambra governorship election is meant to arouse awareness and consciousness of the people of Anambra over the intention of the politicians to continue to toil with the future of their children, because what the past, and present contenders of that position are focussing on, is how to continue to steal money meant for development of that state, and this is where the woman candidate of PPA will make the difference because women are known to be more financially prudent than men.”

According to him, “while they are busy battling each other over how many roads they built  in the past and the marble they will lay on the roads, while the people are suffering and dying of neglect, hunger, unemployment and most of all insecurity,  which is what has made the state no go area for investors.

“The campaign structure which is divided into security, contact and mobilization, publicity and finance will in the next few weeks, tell Anambra people what they never knew about their leaders,” he added.
