THE ruling Labour Party, LP, in Ondo State and the All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday suffered a setback as former political appointees and party executives dumped the parties.
At a rally in Ondo, home town of Governor Olusegun Mimiko, his former special assistants and executive members of All Progressives Congress, APC, joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Some of Dr Mimiko’s former appointees included immediate past chairman of Ondo West local government, Mr Aro Benard and former special assistant during his first term in office.
The former aides were led by Messrs Adewale Williams and Fred Ojo while about 50 APC members were led by the leader of the party in the local government, Mr. Valentine Ikusika.
