Good governance is a collective effort — CDGA

Centre for Democratic Governance in Africa, CDGA, has said that good governance was not the duty of politicians alone, but for everybody at home, the work place and anywhere at all times.

Director-General of the centre, Dr. Dafe Akpocha, on the centre’s annual lecture and global award holding in Lagos, said “any government at any tier that does not anchor its programmes towards social service delivery is doomed because it is anti-people oriented.”

He said it was in line with encouraging people-oriented governance that the centre organises lectures, seminars and symposia, and recognise those that have served patriotically.
He added that this year’s lecture, on the theme Sustaining Momentum for Social Service Delivery in Good Governance, will honour Dame Patience Jonathan with Global Award, among others.
