As Eti-Osa Imams turban eminent Muslims

The first appointed Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Youth and Social Development in Lagos State, Alhaja Sekinah Olusola Yusuf has enjoined all Muslim faithful to always remember and give the female child a chance for a better and peaceful society.
Alhaja Yusuf said this at the second turbaning ceremony organised by Eti-Osa Council of Imams and Alfas recently.
She said: ‘’The female child is a gift from God and as such, should be treated like a princess. The female child should not be maltreated in any form, she should be sent to school and not be sent into modern slavery.
When we begin to see the female child as important as the male child, we will have a better Nigeria.”
Prince Tajudeen Oluwole Olusi, who is the National President of the Zumratul Islammiyyah Society of Nigeria was turbaned at the event as the Jagunmolu Adinni of Eti Osa Muslim Community.
Olusi described the turbaning as a call to service. “ this is another call to serve Almighty Allah and humanity especially in Eti osa in my own humble way even at this old age’’.
Also, Alhaji Abdu-Jeleel Animashaun, Chairman of Al-Hujaj Travels and Tours who was also turbaned as the Arowosa Adinni of Eti-Osa was full of excitements. ‘’This is Allah’s doing. I feel delighted and grateful to Allah for this grace to be relevant in His work’’.
The Chairman, Council of Imams and Alfas, Eti osa, Abd-Barri Yoosuph Afinni, admonished the turbaned Muslims to continue their good deeds to Islam and see the turbaning as a call to service. “We thank Almighty Allah who had made this day a reality.
Islam is a religion of peace and good deeds, I encourage everybody to see this turbaning as a call to service. You have been honored today because you have been living an exemplary life and I beg you not to stop the good work to“.
However, the founder of Markaz dawah organization, Amir Qamardeen Ajala advised all the turbaned Muslims to see the titles as challenge to do greater work. ‘’Turbaning in Islam is a challenge to do more and not a title or instrument to intimidate others. Every turbaned should live an exemplary life and remain a role model to other Muslims’’.
