A 36-year-old unemployed man, who allegedly broke into schools and stole valuables worth N137, 000, was last Thursday charged before an Ojo Magistrate’s Court in Lagos.
The accused, John Charles, according to the prosecutor, ASP Godwin Eze, committed the offences at 5.30am on February 7 at Tomkem Primary School, and Kingsway College, both situated in Illogbo area of Ojo, Lagos.
Eze listed the stolen items as one UPS, one pillow, five set of computers and a cash of N3,000, all totalling N137, 000.
He noted that the offences violated Sections 285 and 305 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Magistrate, Mr. Taslimi Shomade, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case till April 25.
