Delta Gov’s Cup semifinals hold tomorrow

The 2013 Delta Governor’s Cup is nearing its climax with two semifinal matches slated to hold this Thursday, May 23 in two centres, Agbor and Oleh.

In Agbor, Comprehensive Secondary School, Ogwashi-uku confront Adjekuta Secondary School in a match which holds high promises going by the way both teams have played in their previous matches. Both teams have been quite a delight to watch since the start of the competition, strictly designed to develop football in Delta State schools.

Taking to the field in the other semifinal match at the Oleh Stadium will be Domingoes Secondary School and Aleogho Secondary School, who have shown promises of being one of the teams that could emerge champions in a  the tournament conceptualised by Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan just one of the legacies he wants to leave behind in the area of sports development. Both semifinal games hold at 2pm

The losers of the two semifinal matches will play the losers final on May 24 in Sapele while the final match of the tournament comes up on May 28 at the Warri Stadium, with Governor Uduaghan expected to be in attendance to give out the cup to the winners.
