WARRI—THE entire Ugborodo community, yesterday, called on the security authorities to fish out and prosecute all those involved in the killing of some Ugborodo youths at Otumara near Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, Flow Station in the creeks of Warri South-West Council area of Delta State.
Addresing a crowed of elders and youths of the community at a press briefing in Warri, the Ugbajor of Ugborodo community, Prince Perry Atete, said the “attack was most barbaric, wicked and unwarranted.”
Chairman of Ugborodo Community Trust, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, alleged that the attackers were youths that belonged to the camp of his major rival, who he alleged has refused to accept the appeal of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to allow the community’s will to prevail, just as he has also defied the ruling of the Warri monarch-in council that Chief Thomas Ereyitomi as the duly and only authentic chairman of Ugborodo Community Trust.
The Ugborodo community at the conference called on all relevant security agencies to ensure the immediate arrest and prosecution of the killers and their leaders, saying, as law abiding people, they would not take the laws into their hands in their bid to seek justice.
