LAGOS- GOVERNOR Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, paid glowing tribute to late former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adesina, describing him as a dogged progressive fighter.
In a condolence message through his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Hakeem Bello, Fashola, also described him as loyal disciple of late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, a consummate admin- istrator who was thoroughly grounded in Yoruba dialectics.
According to him: “Alhaji Lam Adeshina was an honest, shrewd and pragmatic politician who took his time to make up his mind on any issue but once convinced about the rightness he became difficult to dissuade.
“He recognized the need to groom younger generation and never found wanting in promoting the interest of the youth. He was a fighter, who never shied away from a good cause, especially, when it came to Yoruba cause.
Fashola prayed for the bereaved family to be able to bear the loss.
