By Favour Nnabugwu

ABUJA—Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has expressed deep concern over criminal activities in abandoned buildings across the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed, weekend, at a meeting with his Security Adviser,  directed security agencies in FCT to, as a matter of priority, keep close watch on all abandoned buildings in Abuja.

Mohammed particularly instructed the FCT Command of the Nigeria Police to ensure that abandoned buildings were not used as hideout.

He said: “All security agencies are hereby directed to, as matter of urgency, beam their surveillance on abandoned buildings with a view to cracking down on criminals using such places as havens.”
