ABUJA — Political leaders, captains of industry, business executives, traditional rulers and entrepreneurs from across Africa are expected to converge on Abuja for the 10th anniversary of the Nigeria Most Influential Awards.

The event is expected to draw senior public officials, business leaders and traditional rulers as organisers mark the 10th anniversary of the awards, which recognise contributions in public service, business, entrepreneurship and humanitarian work.

Speaking ahead of the anniversary, the Publisher of VGlamour Magazine and Convener of the awards, Amb. Vivian Lam, reflected on the initiative’s 10-year journey and its focus on recognising leadership and achievement.

“Ten years ago, we embarked on a journey to celebrate excellence, inspire leadership, and promote individuals whose contributions continue to transform Nigeria and beyond.

“Today, we celebrate a decade of influence, integrity, and national impact. This milestone is not just about our achievements but about the extraordinary Nigerians whose stories continue to inspire generations,” Lam said.

The anniversary is themed ‘Celebrating 10 Years of Influence & Impact,’ according to the organisers.

The Nigeria Most Influential Awards were established by VGlamour Magazine in 2016. Over the past decade, it has recognised individuals making significant contributions in public service, business, diplomacy, traditional institutions, entrepreneurship and humanitarian work.

According to the organisers, recipients over the years have included governors, ministers, lawmakers, diplomats, traditional rulers, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, professionals and humanitarian figures.

The programme includes award presentations, keynote addresses, cultural performances, live music, comedy, and the unveiling of a special 10th-anniversary edition of VGlamour Magazine.

The anniversary holds on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
