Olaniyi Olajide, founder and CEO of Edubeta and Kidz Tech Coding Club, is using technology education initiatives to equip children with digital skills needed in a rapidly changing world.

Olaniyi began his teaching career in 2017, working as a classroom teacher, ICT instructor, and later Head of Information Technology. His experience in the education sector exposed him to challenges in learning systems and the need for technology-driven approaches to improve access and engagement.

In 2021, he founded Edubeta, an education and technology company focused on providing digital solutions for schools, organisations, and businesses. The company offers services including website development, software solutions, technology training, branding, and digital transformation support.

His work with children later led to the creation of Kidz Tech Coding Club in 2022. The initiative started as a summer coding bootcamp before expanding into a platform that introduces children to coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital literacy.

Kidz Tech Coding Club now runs coding programmes, school technology clubs, workshops, competitions, and community outreach activities aimed at helping children develop practical technology skills.

Olaniyi said his interest in promoting early technology education was influenced by his own experience growing up with limited exposure to digital learning opportunities. He believes introducing children to technology early can help them develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Through Edubeta and Kidz Tech Coding Club, he continues to work with schools and organisations to increase access to technology education and encourage children to become creators of digital solutions.

Olaniyi’s long-term goal is to support the growth of a generation of African innovators capable of using technology to address local and global challenges.
