Hon. Kelvin Osasu Eribo has expressed concern over reports of primary election results for the Oredo Federal Constituency that were circulated by some media outlets in Benin City.
In a statement made available to supporters and the public, Eribo said he had observed the reports with concern, noting that some party members and stakeholders have raised questions about the conduct and status of the primary process in the constituency.
He said the development has generated discussion around transparency and adherence to internal democratic procedures within the political process, stressing the need for clarity to ensure confidence among party members and supporters.
Eribo disclosed that he is engaging relevant stakeholders and seeking further clarification on the circumstances surrounding the reports, adding that he remains committed to following due process and appropriate party mechanisms in addressing the matter.
He thanked his supporters for their continued encouragement and commitment, including volunteers, youth groups, community leaders, and other well-wishers who have supported his political engagement and advocacy.
The Oredo politician reaffirmed his commitment to fairness, accountability, and internal democracy, urging his supporters to remain calm and peaceful while awaiting further clarification from the appropriate channels.
He added that democratic values must be upheld at all times and expressed confidence that the issues surrounding the process would be properly addressed through the appropriate structures.
