Niger Delta Grassroots Organisation, NDGO, has backed Governor Sheriff Oborovweri for 2027, adding: “Speaker Emomotimi Guwor, Thomas Ereyitomi and Senator Joel Onowakpor can seek re-election, having attracted projects and relative peace in their constituencies for progress”.

Berating Itsekiri-born Collins Edema for advocating their replacement, Comrade Weyinmi Olley, himself Itsekiri and National Coordinator of the NDGO, said: “Collins Edema, rejected for failing Itsekiri in assignments at NNPCL, lacked moral grounds to pass failure verdicts on lawmakers who attracted projects and are by their ambitions, promoting democratic stability.

“Edema’s ongoing credibility-seeking skills acquisition programme among Itsekiri trails what Ereyitomi, representing Warri federal constituency, Speaker Guwor and Joel-Onowakpor had impressively done.”

The group stressed that its support for Oborevwori is premised on the growing and massive projects across the state, which hold promise that in his second term, the Governor will execute our appeal for face-lifting Warri proper in keeping with his inaugural speech on May 29, 2023.

“Guwor, an emerging study in productive loyalty gives legislative support for Governor Oborevwori’s amazing achievements. Ereyitomi and Senator Onowakpor’s bills on Federal Institute/College of Fisheries, Ogidigben and Emede, respectively, and more reflect legislative sagacity.

“Senator Onowakpor, a first timer, reintroduced and drove the NMU, Okerenkoko bill to presidential assent while initiating bills on Federal Medical Centre, Oleh, Federal College of Health Technology, Patani. The trio deserve commendation, not criticism.”
