Akure, Ondo State — Fifty participants have completed a five-day training programme on Automation, Instrumentation and Control in Ondo State, aimed at strengthening technical capacity in Nigeria’s industrial sector.
The programme, which ran from Monday, April 27 to Friday, May 1, 2026, was organised by OFY Multi Dynamics Ltd in collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board) as part of ongoing efforts to build local expertise in the oil, gas, manufacturing, and energy industries.
Participants underwent intensive classroom and practical sessions covering PLC programming, SCADA systems, process control, field instrumentation, calibration, loop checking, and industrial safety standards. The training was designed to meet global industry standards and address current technical demands.
At the closing ceremony, a representative of OFY Multi Dynamics Ltd commended the trainees for their dedication and engagement throughout the programme, expressing confidence in their readiness for industry roles.
“From day one, these 50 trainees showed discipline and a strong desire to learn. We are confident they can now compete for technical opportunities locally and internationally,” the representative said.
Participants described the training as impactful, noting that the hands-on experience and quality of instruction enhanced their practical understanding of automation systems. Many said they were prepared to apply their new skills immediately in the workplace.
Certificates of participation, jointly issued by OFY Multi Dynamics Ltd and NCDMB, were presented to all beneficiaries, alongside starter packs.
The initiative is part of NCDMB’s broader human capacity development programme and reflects continued efforts to expand local technical skills and deepen indigenous participation in Nigeria’s industrial sectors.
