Lideal Mines Ltd has raised concern over the activities of imposters falsely claiming to represent the company in Nigeria, warning that such actions could expose unsuspecting members of the public to serious harm.

In a public notice issued on April 12, 2026, the company said it had discovered that an individual previously posed as its staff and representative, creating confusion and risking unauthorized dealings with individuals and communities.

The firm cautioned that engaging with such imposters could lead to financial loss, misinformation and broken agreements, especially for local stakeholders who rely on direct communication with company officials.

To address the situation, Lideal Mines announced the appointment of Mrs. Chen Taohong, also known as Ms. Tina, as its only authorized representative in Nigeria.

The company urged the public to deal strictly with her on all official matters.

It further stressed that it would not be held liable for any transaction or communication carried out with any other person without her approval.

The company said the warning is necessary to protect the public and prevent further incidents, adding that the appointment is part of efforts to ensure transparency, safety and proper engagement with stakeholders across its areas of operation.
