Prominent Nigerian clerics and gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey have paid tribute to Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, during his birthday celebration, amid messages highlighting his growing influence in ministry.

Bassey, in a post shared on his social media platforms, described Idowu as “a blessing,” exchanging light-hearted remarks with the cleric in a public interaction that drew engagement from followers. “Happy Birthday Pastor B… you are a blessing,” he wrote, prompting a response from Idowu, who thanked him and requested prayers.

In a separate message, Idowu reflected on his journey, attributing his progress to divine grace rather than personal effort. “Every year reminds me that it’s not by power or might, but by Your Spirit. I’m committed more than ever to the assignment — raising men, changing lives, and advancing Your Kingdom,” he said, while inviting followers to share testimonies of how his ministry has impacted them.

At the event held in Lagos, founder of Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome, delivered a goodwill message via telephone, commending what he described as “tremendous” growth in Idowu’s life and ministry.

Oyakhilome said the pastor’s development since their early association at the International School of Ministry in South Africa had been remarkable. He cited expansion in church networks, increased soul-winning activities, reported miracles, and large congregational meetings as indicators of progress.

“I thank the Lord for His grace on your life… clearly evidenced in everything you do,” Oyakhilome said, adding that the outcomes of Idowu’s ministry pointed to “divine backing.”

He also offered prayers for continued growth, asking for increased grace, strength, and good health for Idowu, as well as for his family and leadership team.

The event attracted a large turnout of congregants, associates, and well-wishers, with tributes centring on Idowu’s rising profile within Nigeria’s Pentecostal space and his expanding youth-driven ministry.

Idowu, known for his strong social media presence and urban-focused outreach, has in recent years positioned Harvesters International Christian Centre as one of the fast-growing churches among young professionals.
