Prince Adekoya, Alhaja Kerewa honoured by Ijebu Pride Network

The Ijebu Pride Network (IPN), led by its President, Basorun Dr. Femi Branch, paid a courtesy visit to Ago-Iwoye–born business tycoon, Abdul-Muftau Adekoya, Chairman of WOSAM Arena and the Ogbeni Oja of Ago-Iwoye.

The visit was aimed at formally introducing the Ijebu Pride Network to Prince Adekoya and strengthening collaboration aimed at promoting the image and development of Ijebuland. The delegation was warmly received as the businessman delivered a welcome address, commending the organisation for its efforts in projecting the positive image of the Ijebu people.

In his remarks, Basorun Femi Branch thanked Prince Adekoya for the warm reception and praised him for the impressive business investments he has established in Ago-Iwoye. According to him, such initiatives represent the type of development and employment opportunities the people of Ijebuland desire.

The Vice President of the network, Dayo Amusa, also expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Prince Adekoya, while other members of the executive equally commended the hospitality extended to the team.

During the meeting, the organisation presented a letter of intention proposing Prince Adekoya as the Chief Patron of the Ijebu Pride Network.

Responding, Prince Adekoya applauded the organisation’s vision and encouraged members to remain committed to the development of Ijebuland. He noted that the desire to contribute to the region’s growth informed his decision to establish several business ventures in Ago-Iwoye, adding that more projects are still in the pipeline.

The visit featured discussions, exchange of ideas and a guided tour of the WOSAM Arena facilities, including ongoing developments within the complex.

Members present included Prince Adekoya and his team, as well as IPN executives led by Basorun Dr. Femi Branch (President), Dayo Amusa (Vice President) and Mrs. Toyosi Adesanya (Secretary).

Others were Mrs. Lola Ajibola (Director of Welfare), Mrs. Afolashade Omodesire (Treasurer), Mr. Sijuade Olalekan, popularly known as Ijebu Rewa (Director of Media), and Mr. Atanda Baffy (Director of Social).

In the second phase of the engagement, the IPN delegation travelled to Ijebu-Igbo where they paid a courtesy visit to renowned businesswoman, Mariam Osifeso, popularly known as Alhaja Kerewa.

The organisation described the visit as an honour, noting that the team received a warm welcome from the respected entrepreneur. During the meeting, the President of the network presented a letter of intention proposing Alhaja Osifeso for a key role within the movement.

In her response, Alhaja Kerewa expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Ijebu Pride Network for their commitment to the development of Ijebuland and pledged her support for the organisation’s vision.
