The Tunji Olowolafe Foundation has announced the launch of the Gbemisola Olowolafe Miva Scholarship, a ₦1 billion, five-year initiative aimed at fully sponsoring the education of 1,000 talented Nigerian students at Miva Open University.

The scholarship was unveiled by Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, Chairman of Deux Project Limited and founder of the Foundation, on the first anniversary of the passing of his late wife, Gbemisola Olowolafe, in her memory.

The fully-funded programme will cover complete tuition costs for the 1,000 beneficiaries over five years, removing financial barriers to quality higher education. It is designed to nurture ambitious students, ensuring they can achieve their full potential regardless of socioeconomic background.

Dr. Olowolafe stated, “Gbemisola believed that education was the ultimate equaliser; a tool that should be accessible to all, regardless of financial background. By removing tuition barriers for 1,000 aspiring leaders, we are ensuring that her legacy of kindness, excellence, and service lives on in the success stories of others.”

Applications are now open to Nigerian students who demonstrate drive and ambition but lack the means to pursue higher education.

The Foundation’s programmes focus on education, empowerment, and community development to create long-term, sustainable impact by investing in Nigeria’s next generation of leaders, thinkers, and change-makers.
