…..commends Okpebholo, Oshiomhole’s return ticket

An aspirant for the Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency seat, Hon. Johnson Afagase, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for fostering unity within the party in Edo State following the successful and rancor-free conduct of the state congress.
Besides, Afagase commended the governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for leading a united party in the state. He said the right of first refusal granted Senator Adams Oshiomhole was the best thing to happen because of his leadership and service to the party and nation.
According to Afagase, “This unity we enjoy in the party today reflects the leadership qualities and capacity of the governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo. I celebrate the governor for this unity,” Afagase said.
Afagase, who expressed gratitude to party leaders and delegates for electing the Emperor Jarret Tenebe-led executive, described the exercise as seamless and peaceful.
He particularly praised the governor for bringing together party leaders across the three senatorial districts and various interest groups in the state.
The aspirant also commended Senator Adams Oshiomhole, Minister Abubakar Momoh, former Deputy Governor Dr. Pius Odubu, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Gen. Cecil Esekhaigbe and Gen. Charles Airhavbere, Deacon Domingo Obende, among others, for their leadership roles in strengthening the party.
Continuing, he said Tenebe’s emergence as party chairman is a reflection of his long-standing integrity, capacity and dedication to the service of the party, the state and the country.
His words, “I believe that with his experience, reputation and qualities, Tenebe and his exco will outstandingly fulfill all tasks ahead in the next four years,” Afagase added.
He also hailed the decision to grant Senator Adams Oshiomhole the right of first refusal for a return ticket to the National Assembly, describing it as a demonstration of loyalty, fairness and respect for experience.
According to him, Oshiomhole’s contributions to the growth and stability of the APC at both state and national levels remain invaluable.
