The Khairat Foundation for Hope Revival has launched a nationwide initiative to provide meals to 100,000 households during the Ramadan season, beginning with over 200 Muslims at the National Mosque in Abuja following Friday prayers.

Ambassador Oyiza Abdulrasheed, President of the foundation, said the program aims to support food security for Muslims observing the holy month while promoting compassion and solidarity across Nigeria.

“The foundation initiated this outreach as an act of kindness for food-insecure Muslims during Ramadan.

This aligns with national efforts to enhance food security under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Abdulrasheed said. She added that the initiative also honors the leadership of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

Discovery Idau, Programmes Coordinator, explained that the foundation’s efforts are recurring, ensuring vulnerable citizens have access to meals and small financial support during fasting periods. “We bring food to people breaking their fast to remind them that there is still hope,” Idau said.

The foundation called for increased support to expand the program’s reach, pledging to continue its philanthropic efforts to maintain consistent food availability for communities across the country.
