I won’t intentionally engage in clout-chasing — Whykayy

A rising content creator and actress, Adeyinka Ogunjimi, professionally known as Whykayy, has declared that she will not compromise her values for online validation, stating firmly that she refuses to intentionally engage in clout-chasing to satisfy social media algorithms.

In a chat with Potpourri, Whykayy spoke on the misconceptions people often have about her brand, noting that many assume her success is driven by luck or mere “vibes.”

“The biggest misconception people have is that my work is just vibes or a series of lucky viral moments. People see the final 60 seconds of a jingle or a polished post and assume it’s effortless, but they don’t see the technical precision behind it,” she said.

According to her, being a woman in the digital creative space sometimes comes with subtle bias, as her work is often reduced to casual influencing rather than recognized as strategic brand building.

“In reality, I am a creative professional building a multi-sector brand. Creativity is the engine, but strategy is the fuel that keeps it moving,” she added.

On the boundaries she maintains as a content creator, Whykayy stressed that dishonesty is her red line, insisting she will not create fake drama for attention.

“My main limit is dishonesty. I won’t intentionally engage in clout-chasing or manufactured drama just to satisfy the algorithm,” she stated.

She further revealed that she avoids exploiting personal or family trauma for engagement, describing the trend as troubling.

“In this industry, there is constant pressure to sell your soul for reach, but I believe in maintaining high-value boundaries,” she concluded.
