The Beyond Barracks Project has congratulated Commander Yilchini Jan Bida (Rtd) on being conferred with the traditional title “Malam Bit (The Rising Star)” of Wuseli Community, Pankshin Local Government Area, Plateau State.

In a statement issued by Mohammed Thompson, Executive Director, the organisation described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Cdr. Bida’s selfless service to the nation, enduring commitment to humanity, and outstanding contributions to community development.

The statement highlighted that the prestigious title reflects his distinguished military career, marked by professionalism, discipline, and patriotism, as well as his continued dedication to society after retirement.

The Beyond Barracks Project expressed pride in Cdr. Bida’s exemplary representation of the Armed Forces, noting that his life of service inspires young people and serves as a model for both serving and retired military personnel.

“This noble honour is a clear recognition of your selfless service to the nation, your enduring generosity to humanity, and your steadfast commitment to community development,” the statement read.

The organisation also emphasized that the chieftaincy title reflects the trust, respect, and admiration the people of Wuseli Community have for Cdr. Bida’s leadership and character.
