MAN celebrates Otuekong Sunny Jackson Udoh’s enduring legacy in industrial development

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Cross River/Akwa Ibom States Branch, has celebrated Otuekong Sunny Jackson Udoh for his enduring contributions to the growth and advancement of the manufacturing sector in the two states, honoring him with a Meritorious Award.

The recognition was bestowed during the Association’s 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the Banquet Hall of Vinpy Hotels & Suites, Uyo. The AGM attracted manufacturers, industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders who gathered to review sector performance and deliberate on strategies for sustainable industrial development in the region.

MAN stated that the honor was in recognition of Udoh’s long-standing commitment to strengthening indigenous manufacturing capacity, supporting industrial advocacy, and promoting policies that enhance productivity and competitiveness across the two states.

In a special acknowledgment, Otuekong Sunny Jackson Udoh was also recognized as the foremost Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria in the old Cross River State. Members noted that his tenure marked a defining period that helped institutionalize organized private-sector engagement and unity among manufacturers.

According to MAN officials, his leadership era was characterized by firm representation of manufacturers’ interests, improved dialogue with government authorities, and a focus on creating a more stable operating environment for industrial enterprises.

Presenting the award, the Association described Udoh as an industrial leader whose influence transcends individual business success. They emphasized that his contributions have translated into job creation, skills development, and increased confidence in locally manufactured products.
